We had one of the most memorable Montana trout seasons in our lifetime and we are following that up with a killer start to our Louisiana redfish season. We lose sleep during this transition time of the year. Many reasons are to blame. The 3 day van drive across the country. Not knowing if the flats skiff has been infested with rodents while in storage. If the Po Boy stand is still cranking out those delicious sandwiches! What makes up for sleepless, mind wondering nights? Landing big fish, and landing lots of them! Time to break out the 10wt rods, 30lb leaders, and hold on when that giant fish crushes your top water fly. We are 9 days into the season, and well.... we will let a few photos speak for themselves on how its going out of the gate in the LA south...
38lbs, 45 inches on the nuts is the mark to beat so far.
